“God is pursuing with omnipotent passion a worldwide purpose of gathering joyful worshipers for Himself from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. He has an inexhaustible enthusiasm for the supremacy of His name among the nations. Therefore, let us bring our affections into line with His, and, for the sake of His name, let us renounce the quest for worldly comforts and join His global purpose.”
John Piper, Let the Nations Be Glad
Global Ministry
Global involvement in ministry is a vital part of who we are as a local church. Global ministry means joining with God in the incredible work He is doing in the world around us. Our desire to serve is born from the belief that God is so wonderful He should be worshipped by people from all over the world.
Because we believe so deeply in God calling us to global ministry, especially in the unreached areas of the world, we strive to educate, motivate and equip our congregation to play a part in what God is doing around the world. PCC currently has over 20 workers, who came out of PCC, spread across the globe as well as a partnership with a church in Nairobi, Kenya. In addition to that we regularly send 4-5 short term teams to various parts of the world to support our long term workers and to get a glimpse of what it's like and prayerfully consider long term ministry themselves.

On the Peninsula of Virginia, they want to see redeveloping communities transformed through partnerships between the police department, faith-based organizations, civic leagues and schools by building trusting relationships that bring hope and health.

Peninsula Rescue MissionMany groups work diligently to provide material help for the needy. There are also many whose work is to introduce people to God through faith In Christ. The Peninsula Rescue Mission is a ministry seeking to do both. We operate completely independent from the government in order that we might maintain our Christian distinctives.
